One of the best things about Venice, and Italy in general is the food!!
Obviously I couldn't come to Venice and not sample some of the many culinary delights it has to offer! If Im honest I probably actually enjoyed the food here a bit too much, but when in Rome...It was actually quite refreshing to be in a country that loves and celebrates food and eating it, without feeling guilty afterwards.

Venice is generally well known for its seafood and fish, being in a Lagoon and so close to the Adriatic it is able to take advantage of the freshness of the produce.
We sampled many different kinds of fish and seafood; grilled, smoked, steamed, pan-fried, carpaccio, baked, you name it, they had it!

 |

 |
| Garlic baked scallops |
Aside from all the fish there was also desert to sample! One month here is not enough time to eat everything in site!! I actually had to resort to having desert for breakfast one day...life is tough!
